My Journey 👋

Understanding both sides of development

I entered the startup world by joining the QA team at Avocode, where I learned the basics of React.js. After two years down the line I decided to pursue UI design, switched jobs, and I spent the last three years designing using Figma. These experiences gave me enough foundation to understand the product development process from both the engineering and design side.

Questioning our own assumptions

Back at Avocode, I used to organise user testing sessions where I would coach my colleagues to hold individual session alongside me to understand our customers’ goals and challenges.

Avocode’s Slack still has the :lets-test-everything: custom emoji with my face on it.

I brought this interview expertise to Liftago where we've held multiple customer and driver testing sessions and interviews. Plus we usually interview our drivers whenever anyone of us takes a ride.

Designing products that scale with the business

During my time at Liftago, I’ve designed countless business impacting projects that form the long term vision for both the Liftago passenger and driver apps.

I always consider future projects that the current one might be impacting to prevent design debt in the future.

I seldom take on freelance work as I have a lot of creative projects of my own but if you’ve got an exciting project that you think would suit me, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].
